Gearing up for summer season

April 16, 2009

Summer, the busiest season in the Berkshires, will be here before we know it!  It’s also the busiest time for I’ll Do It!  Requests have already been coming in for help in the summer and we are hoping to hire some people to serve specific client’s needs.

Some of those are …

In the Tyringham area – a very flexible, reliable and friendly person available for dog walking, grocery shopping, helping with meal prep and clean up … and whatever the client’s come up with.  Some weeks when the gentleman is on his own … the dog will need to be walked three times per day, an hour each time;

In the New Marlboro area – in need of 1.  Cleaning person or persons to clean a client’s house twice per month.  May also need to do thorough cleaning between renters; 2.  A local person to check on the house year-round, interface with service providers as needed and interface with renters;

In the Housatonic area – in need of a very flexible person who could help lady of the house with shopping (kosher family, so knowledge in this area would be very helpful), quick clean ups when entertaining guests, other misc. errands – this position isn’t confirmed at the moment;

There is an expectation that more assistance will be needed with a coming  feature of I’ll Do It! in the Berkshire Business Quarterly, aka BBQ, out any day now.

The warm and sunny days are upon us … and the excitement in the Berkshires is growing with the blooms!

What’s been happening …

March 25, 2009

Winter is finally passing in the Berkshires and with Spring comes renewal … Just today a new version of the I’ll Do It! website has been brought into the world!  The most exciting project over this past winter has been a day spent with a writer, Robin Catalano, from Berkshire Business Quarterly (aka BBQ) in November and photo shoots with Jane Feldman for an article that will be appearing in the March/April issue.  Advise from a client before the photo shoot … “just get your hair done” was taken, with a visit to Peter Alvarez’s salon in Lenox.

A very cold winter has been filled with drives to and from NYC for clients, care of client’s pets and the joy of keeping an eye on various second homeowners houses … fortunately not too many problems!  Also, preparations for the anticipated busy summer, building a group of trustworthy, friendly, flexible and customer service oriented people to be sure that out current and new clients needs will be served!

Spring is such an exciting time!!
